Press Release Source: Sunergy Inc. On Thursday July 17, 2014
SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwired - Jul 17, 2014) - Sunergy, Inc. ("Sunergy" or "the Company") (OTC Pink: SNEY) (PINKSHEETS: SNEY) announced today that it has appointed Michelle A. Sesay MBA, Civil Engineer as Director of Sierra Leone Housing Initiative for Sunergy Sierra Leone, Limited.
Ms. Sesay, a Freetown resident, has both the professional credentials and passion for housing projects. She is a builder, developer and administrator. She is an Alumni of the US Department of State Exchange Program and has enjoyed employment at an architectural firm where she was a project engineer working on several World Bank relocation, renovation and security projects. Ms. Sesay held a position as Assistant Transport Engineer for Total Sierra Leone Ltd, the largest petroleum provider in Sierra Leone. She has also been involved in some of the recent most prominent building projects in Sierra Leone such as the American Embassy residence, Bintumani International Conference Center and Kimbima Hotel in Aberdeen.
Ms. Sesay commented, "I am pleased to be given this responsibility for Sunergy. I will be here on the ground in Freetown to establish a strong local base to support our efforts to provide affordable and environmentally sound building solutions for the various residents of Sierra Leone. Our scope of operations will encompass tribal village relocations, single and multiple family housing developments and hospitals, medical clinics, schools, churches, military barracks and other custom projects.
She continued, "I am excited to be a part of this great development opportunity. Our primary building product is a patented SIPS panel for construction made of galvanized steel, fiberglass and foam so that mold, mildew, dry rot, termites and other infestations are a thing of the past. This product has a 100 year lifespan, can withstand 160 mph winds and can be made to look like anything desired, from a thatch roofed bungalow to an executive mansion. This building system offers much flexibility and I can't wait to see the factory being built here to provide housing solutions for all Sierra Leoneans."
Garrett Hale, President and CEO commented, "It's rare to find the combination of professional skills and a passion in West Africa that is represented by Michelle Sesay. We welcome her to the Sunergy Management Family. She is enthusiastic, determined and very well qualified to interface with the engineering and construction departments of any Ministry or business in Sierra Leone. Having a full time local presence to handle the everyday business of developing acceptable housing solutions for Sierra Leone is a big step in finalizing contracts which will cause our building partner to locate a factory near Freetown."
Management's recent visits to Liberia, Sierra Leone and The Gambia have substantially advanced our mining, affordable housing and airport security projects in these West African Countries. Solar Power Projects are now also being discussed in The Gambia and Senegal while feasibility information for solar in Sierra Leone and Liberia is being studied. More news will be forthcoming shortly on these projects.
Further updates on our mining and financing activities will be forthcoming.
